At Rosmarins Day Camp meals and snacks are a time for the entire camp to get together to eat and connect as a community. Siblings have the opportunity to check in with each other. Campers and counselors sit together recapping highlights of morning activities and sharing their anticipation for their afternoon. The mood is lively. Children are smiling, enjoying both the company of their co-campers and the food they are eating, that tastes good and is good for them.

We gladly work with families to accommodate dietary needs.

“I love camp lunch. My favorite is nacho day, it’s so yummy!”

We serve healthy meals kids love to eat

The best way to get children to eat their meals, so the can recharge their batteries, is to give them food they want to eat. To do that, we work with a dietitian to give campers healthy choices they will eat and enjoy. Lunches typically include a protein, a fresh vegetable (a favorite being corn on the cob) or salad, fruit, and a whole grain.

Counselors and campers eating together facilitates counselors gently encouraging healthy eating habits by modeling the behavior.
