Aquatics and swimming
At Rosmarins Day Camp, we are very proud of our highly regarded aquatics program. Second to none, our comprehensive approach attracts some of the most talented aquatic professionals in the area. Our campers see dramatic improvements in confidence in and around the water and come away with lifelong aquatics skills.
Swimming Program
We really have developed a swimming and aquatics program like none other in the area. Our 4 heated pools differ in size and depth to accommodate the various age and skill levels of our campers. All instruction is provided by our exceptional staff of American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors and is under the supervision of our highly certified trained lifeguard staff. Many staff members come to us with a background in competitive swimming and aquatic education from a variety of well-recognized programs.
Our foremost concern is safety. Beyond that however, we are serious about providing the kind of aquatic experience best suited for your child to excel. Campers are grouped according to ability and are assigned an instructor. This instructor stays with your child’s swim lesson group for the duration of the summer to provide continuity. Year after year, the overwhelming number of “success stories” from parents calling or writing to tell us about how their child has shown so much improvement over the course of just one summer speaks volumes about our commitment to swimming and aquatics.
In addition to our pool program, Rosmarins Day Camp is also nestled along the shores of the Walton Lake. This pristine lake plays host to a number of our aquatics activities, including: kayaking, canoeing, row boating, and fishing. Activities at the lake are under the supervision of specially trained and certified lifeguard staff. Each activity begins with some form of instruction, followed by organized games on the water and ample free time to test out newly mastered skills. Skills are tailored to be age appropriate.
